About the RRC:

 Organization
The Registered Trustees of Rural Resources Center

 Vision
Development is such a vital process whose occurrence can not be left to take place haphazardly: it has to be guided and harmonized, it has to consist of desirable and sustainable consiquences to humanity.

 Mission
Processes of enabling the rural communities to improve their standard of living are adequately guided and prudently facilitated in such a way that the improvements are effected more consciously and responsibly for sustainable consequences.

 Programs
All of the executed activities by the RRC fall under the following two long-term programs:
 1. The Grassroots Capacity Enhancement and Utilization Program
 2. The Management Information and Planning Improvement Program

Consideration is always given to all of the cross-cutting issues such as HIV/AIDS, envrionmental conservation, gender, youth employment, and the importance of private sector promotion during the designing of any intervention.

 Scope/Reach
We cover all the Regions in the country, although we have, of recent, concentrated our presence in the Southern and Northern Zones, and thinly in the Lake Zone (Ngara, Muleba, Bukoba Rural, Maswa districts and Kigoma Region). Each project has its specific direct target-group, and the range is very wide; from the grassroots level up to National level with some aspects. Nevertheless, the main focus has always been the rural community as a whole.

Sectors and sub sectors covered include: SMEs, Health - HIV/AIDS, Environment, Education, Training, Agriculture, Culture and Tourism, Capacity building, Water - Uchira and Kiliwater -, Business and Trade. Training (of adults) has always featured predominantly in the aspects of Business Management Skills, entrepreneurship skills including Customer care and/or services.

 Beneficiaries
The range of beneficiaries is just as wide; encompassing the target-group(s) and all other stakeholders in each project, and of course, the RRC itself.

 Accomplishments
As it has been implied above, the centre never seeks donations for running the day-to-day operations, but rather sells products and services in form of: project proposals, training manuals and consultancies to donors/development partners for funding.

The past donors/clients include: GTZ, NORAD, SNV, BfW, FAKT, ELCT / NED, UVETA, TCTF, Gorta, Regional Secretariats, District councils, Private Companies and Individuals.
