entrepreneurship concepts that enabled high school students to participate micro-enterprise management and the installation of energy efficient lighting in
their school.
EVI co-developed a
Sustainability Course for the Community Action Project at Cesar
Chavez High
School in Washington
DC. The course covered
environmental entrepreneurship concepts through experiential, practical
activities and discussions. The students were assisted in running a
micro-enterprise to fund the purchase of energy efficient lighting for the
school. This project provided in-depth exposure to local
environmental issues such as waste management, sustainable resource use, and
energy conservation, specifically as related to youth.
