The new organic farm industry in Mexico suits the country perfectly
as a nation because it has the fourth highest biodiversity in the world. Protecting this biodiversity means protecting the land upon which the abundance of life survives, with techniques such as organic farming. However, until the introduction of Aires
De Campo, there has been no easy way for the Mexican consumer to purchase such products and support the market. Aires de Camp has made partnerships with 120 farms to supply organic products to
their start up stores in urban residents of Mexico City as well as other areas. These
products include organically processed milk, beef, prepared salads, processed
grains and recently, with organic ice cream and poultry products. Each of these
stores can serve between 500-700 clients bringing country fresh food to city
markets.
Aires De Campo has created away for
small farmers to make consistent profits while encouraging sustainable
agricultural practices. Also, as the industry grows the diversity of products
will allow for Mexico's
natural biodiversity to be restored as well.
