This organization uses the grants they receive to promote
solar energy use in the Dominican Republic
and Honduras
to improve the quality of life. Enersol focuses on increasing access to water
by utilizing solar energy to power water pumps. Community involvement is
encouraged during the

installation of the water pump and solar technology. In
addition, after installation Enersol provides training to locals to be able to
maintain the water pump. Another project, Edusol, brings laptop computers along
with solar modules to supply power to the computers to communities. Enersol
provides computer training in basic keyboard and mouse skills and provide
educational and reference programs to school age students. The organization has
completed 23 projects and continues to expand into more countries in Latin America. For more information on this organization
please visit their
website.
When Enersol was established it worked on rural electrification
using solar energy which is now done by
Global Transition Consulting.
Both organizations along with
Soluz, which focuses on the
delivery of electricity, make up the
Global Transition Group.
This group has made a commitment to a global transition to sustainable energy.
