AgriPlanner
Assists growers and farmers to run successful Agri-businesses by having participant teams run simulated businesses. The Agriplanner Simulation runs at progressive levels starting simply and building to planning and running a complex Agri-business at the higher levels.

Participant teams have to consider their options
and then decide:

1. What range of plants or livestock to grow

2. When to plant which crops, depending on their regional location

3. What produce they think the market will be looking for

4. Where to sell their produce... to friends and neighbours... or to established markets

5. Whether, and how much to invest in improving their farm fencing, irrigation etc.

6. How to plan so that they have at least some money coming in each month

7. How to value the time they spend working or selling

8. "How much time should we be spending working on the land as opposed to working on the customers!"

At all levels the focus is on the need to ... Plan first ... Plant later!

All participants become familiar with simple planning and record keeping systems that they can use to monitor and plan their own businesses.

The Agriplanner Simulation works at two different land scales:

-Either working on 500 square metres for the small producers

-or working on a farm of 50 hectares for the emerging small farmers or farm workers of established farms.
