EEDI-Lushoto was formed in by organizations involved in the Environmental Enterprise Training Program and additional organizations who also had connections with the development of environmental enterprise, directly or peripherally. The local organizations decided to join together and work to continue the development of environmental enterprise in the Lushoto District.
During a process spanning from 2004-2005, the partnership of organizations identified local natural resouce issues that they wanted to identify and address with the development of environmental enterprise, through environmental education, business training, and projects incorporating the triple bottom line (social, economic, and environmental), with a focus on youth.
Since the organization of the Lushoto cluster, the partner organizations have been involved in a number of projects working to achieve their joint goal. Read more about these projects. Member Organizations
