Dumisani Nyoni has considerable experience developing and coordinating global youth initiatives and networks in the areas of employment and sustainable development.

As an Earth Charter Youth Initiative coordinator, Dumi helped launch a new youth component to the Earth Council's Earth Charter Initiative, developing online guides and materials to help youth make practical use of the Earth Charter. He later helped facilitate the first Youth Employment Summit (YES) by assisting in the development of the YES Agenda, leading the development of the YES website and online platform, running workshops to develop and coordinate YES Country Networks in over 60 countries, and engaging government ministers and officials in addressing youth employment.

Dumi has conducted numerous workshops and lectures relating to sustainable development and global issues at schools and conferences worldwide and has served on the boards and advisory groups of a number of organizations including the United Nations Environmental Program, TakingITGlobal.org, Global Youth ACTION Network, Envision Leadership, and the Synapse Center. He is currently working with the Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP), a leading NGO in Zimbabwe where he heads a division focusing on education and learning programs in rural development.
