.thumb_sany6Joseph Sany, currently a graduate student at George Washington University's School for Public Policy, has experience working as a consultant in the fields of community development and post-war reconstruction. In this capacity, he has, among other activities, advised the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG) and trained community leaders on community mobilization and deliberation in Ghana. Mr. Sany worked with the project USAID/ALEF (Advancing Learning & Employability for a Better Future) and Tanmia (the United Arab Emirates National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority) in Morocco to design and facilitate series of skills development workshops on Information Technologies and Community Development for leaders of Civil Society Organizations and high schools teachers. Mr. Sany also designed and facilitated strategic planning and program development processes for national and community based Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), primarily in Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Togo and Nigeria.

In the area of NGO and Community Based Organizational (CBO) capacity building, Mr. Sany has a long experience in advising and developing tools and training in leadership development to help the leaders of organizations (both youth and adults) in scaling up their organizations' activities and building partnerships with governments, communities and other stakeholders. Mr. Sany was President of AIESEC International, based in out of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He was also a fellow of the Common Futures Forum of Social Entrepreneurs for the programs he founded in Cameroon for ICTs for youth. He is currently based in Haiti, and a graduate student at George Washington University's School for Public Policy.
