EVI welcomes the interest and assistance of young and old alike.  We rely on the work of our volunteers to help forward our mission and participate in the development of new ideas and projects.  If you would like to become involved in EVI's work, through contribution of your time, personal expertise, or any other resource, don't hesitate to contact us, using the "Contact Us" link at the top of the screen or simply by calling the office.

Volunteer opportunities...

In the past, our volunteers have been integrally involved in our local projects, such as the Youth Sustainability Course at Cesar Chavez Public Charter School and participating in EnvironMentors.  Volunteers are always welcome to help with research of new technologies and project opportunities, such as the agricultural science of mushroom farming or the economics of plastics recycling in specific areas of Tanzania.  These opportunities often grow into more interesting and in-depth relationships.

Many of our friends and colleagues have skills and talents that could greatly leverage our organizational capacity.  If you have a skill or some knowledge that you would like to contribute to EVI's efforts, do let us know!  Go to the Contact Us page and let us know how you would like to contribute to EVI's mission to create a sustainable world.

Interning...

We usually have at least one, and preferably two, interns at our office and we pride ourselves in offering hands-on experiences, challenging all in our office to grow and develop new skills and stretch beyond their current boundaries.  For internship and other job openings, please visit Job Opportunities under the EVI Team tab.

Donations...

EVI is primarily funded by individual supporters who believe in our mission and vision.  We welcome gifts and hope that we can share back with you the joys (and struggles!) we work through on our journey towards sustainability.

Workshops...

Participation in EVI's Green Microenterprise Workshops is a great way to get introduced to the opportunities environmental enterprise offers for young and old entrepreneurs alike.  Upcoming workshops include three mini-seminars conducted in partnership with the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore, in Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington State in October 2007.
