Lauren joined the EcoVentures team in July 2009. As an undergraduate she studied political and economic development with a focus on women's leadership. She has previously worked for Women for Women International here in Washington D.C. and Opening Doors, Inc., a Sacramento-based refugee resettlement non-profit which works to develop social and economic skills, wellness, and financial assets. At Opening Doors Lauren provided small business development support to the Abriendo Puertas program, which provides technical assistance, marketing, and financial management services. In the summer of 2008, Lauren lived abroad in Santiago, Chile where she studied the trajectory of Chilean history, politics and culture over the past forty years.
At EVI, Lauren manages operations and outreach support, including website content management, grant monitoring and fundraising, donor cultivation, and logistical assistance.
Lauren holds a BA from the University of California, Davis.
