What is an environmental enterprise? Is it a green enterprise (does it use green practices to help minimize environmental impact)? Or is it a green-green enterprise (does it use green practices to minimize environmental impact in the business process while reusing resources to create a product or providing a product that does not produce additional waste)? Does an environmental enterprise have to meet some standard of environmental sustainability? Does it have to meet certain standards of social sustainability?
While developing this database, we have debated these questions and have not come to complete agreement, even amongst the EVI team! What are your thoughts?
